You probably remember this woman from 2012. After posing for this despicable photo at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery, Lindsey Stone quickly became one of the most hated people in America, as her revolting picture quickly went viral over social media igniting a firestorm.

Well, you might be pleased to know that since the photo was taken, karma has come back around and smacked this woman. Hard!

Soon after Stones coworker snapped the picture during their trip to Washington D.C., both women were terminated from their jobs, after their workplace was flooded with angry callers. One irate veteran created a Facebook page calling for the Stones termination, titled Fire Lindsey Stone, where it quickly amassed more than 19K likes (which has since been taken down).

In addition to losing her job, Stone was unable to leave her house for over a year, living in continual fear after receiving death and rape threats, while others demanded she is sent to prison.

  • Lindsey Stone hates the military and hates soldiers who have died in foreign wars, read one comment.
  • You should rot in hell.
  • Just pure Evil, said yet another.

Even Stones father called his daughters behavior disgraceful and said that taking the picture was a total lapse of judgment, and demanded that his daughter apologize.

It was just a spur of the moment, total lapse of judgment,’ Peter Stone said. She wasn’t reacting to the place; she was reacting to the sign and she apologizes to everybody.

After being continually turned down for almost a year by potential employers, Stone was finally able to land a job working with autistic children. But even now, she lives in continual fear that her new employers will find the photo and terminate her. It has also affected her love life, since Stone refuses to date, fearing what people might think of her.

Since it happened, I haven’t tried to date, anybody. How much do you let a new person into your life? Do they already know?

Stone has enlisted the help of a reputation management service company, reputation.com, so more neutral images will pop up even people do a Google search of her name.

Well, I guess next time you decide to flip off a tomb representing all the unidentified Soldiers who have died to protect your sorry butt, perhaps you’ll think twice. Even though we all make mistakes at some point, what world do you live in where it’s okay to act like such a hooligan on the sacred grounds revered by so many?

Apologies: The woman’s father, Peter Stone, insisted that his daughter meant no disrespect

  1. Next time I a sure you’ll think twice before you do such a degrading and shamefully act and not to forget the disrespect to the men, women and families of the soldiers who gave their lives.

  2. Is this how you want to be remembered long after you’re gone? If you ever have children, is this how you want them brought up? To disrespect the very people that give you your freedom to act the way you did. I served for over 20 years and the picture of you hurts not just me but, every man and woman who has ever served or will serve. I was no hero but I have walked and talked to a few and I pray they never see this photo. I actually feel sorry for you. Maybe someday your life will change and I hope it will be for the better. God bless.
