The Deputy Attorney General with the Department of Justice, Rod Rosenstein has just announced that 13 Russians have been indicted for interfering in the 2016 election.
In early 2014, a Russian organization known as The Internet Research Agency, LLC set up shop and began to organize an elaborate operation to interfere with the 2016 Presidential Election.
The Internet Research Agency, LLC operated on an annual budget of over one million a year and employed hundreds of unwitting Americans to assist with their objective to “sow discord in the US political system.” They employed people for graphics, networking, advertising, etc., establishing a highly sophisticated campaign.
The Russians initially placed their efforts with Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump since they were the two candidates most likely to disrupt the American political landscape in Washington. Once The Bern was out of the race they put efforts not only toward helping the president but also toward protesting him. In fact, the indictment says that on one particular day in New York City, the Russian organization organized a rally for and a rally against President Trump.
The Deputy Attorney General made sure to point out that NO MEMBER of the Trump Campaign ever wittingly interacted with or knew they were interacting with the Russians. The Russians went to great lengths to conceal their identity and presence stealing American identities to do so.
The actual indictment is rather lengthy but is available online if you would like to read the actual indictment filed with the court. You can access it by clicking here
The downside to all of this is that none of those named in the indictment are in the United States. The Justice Department plans to follow the normal protocols to seek extradition of those named, but the chances that Putin is going to turn over any of them is slim to more likely NONE! After all, they have been quite effective at sowing discord in our Republic and may have very well initiated what might be the beginning of a civil war or serious civil disarray.
They wanted to divide America and they did a great job… Of course, after eight years of the Obama Administration working toward the same objective, it was not that difficult to push us over the edge…
Any officer can get by on his sergeants. To be a sergeant you have to know your stuff. I’d rather be an outstanding sergeant than just another officer.
