There has been a fair amount of infighting within the Republican Party when it comes to the Robert Mueller investigation into Russia Russia Russia and any implications that may arise from it. Now that a touted and somewhat controversial House Permanent Committee for Intelligence memo crafted by Reps. Devin Nunes and Trey Gowdy has come to the public sphere, President Trump is claiming vindication when it comes to Mueller’s efforts. He made a statement via Twitter.
This memo totally vindicates “Trump” in probe. But the Russian Witch Hunt goes on and on. Their was no Collusion and there was no Obstruction (the word now used because, after one year of looking endlessly and finding NOTHING, collusion is dead). This is an American disgrace!

Trump and his team have always maintained that there was no collusion with Russia by them. The memo actually makes the case that any collusion actually came from the Hillary Clinton for President team along with senior FBI and Department of Justice officials. That, according to Gowdy and Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, does not mean that the Mueller witch hunt is over.
Rep. Trey Gowdy, who helped release the memo, said, “I also remain 100 percent confident in special counsel Robert Mueller. The contents of this memo do not — in any way — discredit his investigation,” according to the Washington Examiner.
House Speaker Paul Ryan added that the memo “does not impugn the Mueller investigation or the deputy attorney general.”
“I think we should disclose all this stuff,” he told reporters on Tuesday in favor of the memo’s release. “But I think disclosure is the way to go. It’s the best disinfectant. And I think we need to disclose, that brings us accountability, that brings us transparency, that helps us clean up any problem we have with (the Justice Department) and FBI.”
How Rob Rosenstein, the Deputy Attorney General, who signed at least one of the requests to get a FISA wiretap on Carter Page could not be impugned by the memo is a stretch, but it looks like Mueller has other evidence. Until we see that, there is no way to know just who is really victorious in this mess.
